I was deeply perturbed by the assassination of the magistrates Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino and the following year I decided to participate in the commemoration ceremonies. I discovered a wonderful city and a touching humanity. The resulting photo reports were published in Le Nouvel Observateur, Historia, Telerama, Le Jour, La Vie Catholique and Il Giornale di Sicilia.
